J&M Management Services, Inc. is seeking applicants to fill Security Officer positions to support the Job Corps in McKinney, TX. This is a full time position with benefits!  Not part time or subsititute "we will call you if we need you". Do you have friends or coworkers who may be interested? We are seeking applicants for multiple shifts! In many cases we can work around school schedules, substitute teaching call-ins, etc!

The Security officer is responsible for enforcing all laws, rules and policies authorized by the Safety and Security Department at the North Texas Job Corps Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enforces all authorized laws, rules and regulations.
  • Patrols assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violators, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
  • Assists with Gate House procedures to include checking in/out staff, students, vendors, and guests.
  • Monitors the Center's surveillance system and uses surveillance footage to perform investigations..
  • Investigates vehicular accidents at center.
  • Issues visitor passes and temporary vehicle permits.
  • Prepares written reports and maintains security log

Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum High school graduate or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.

PREFERRED: Minimum plus three to six months experience in a security or work-related capacity

General Requirements

  • Knowledge of riot and crowd control techniques preferred.
  • Knowledge of law enforcement procedures preferred.
  • Must maintain CPR/FA Certification.
  • Familiarity with problems of underprivileged, minority groups, especially youth.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
